DESCRIPTION:
Support individuals with disabilities in obtaining a job, learning workplace expectations, and performing job duties in a community employment job.
Develop community employment sites and provide on-site training of job responsibilities and appropriate social skills for adults with disabilities.
Assess individual interests, natural supports, and skills to assure job placements are compatible with each individual’s needs.
Maintain on-going communication and positive relationships between employers, program participants, and various agencies.
Primarily serves Burke County and secondarily serves Caldwell and Catawba Counties. Office located in Lenoir.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to work with adults with disabilities.
Regional travel required among Burke, Caldwell and Catawba counties.
Must be flexible in work duties and work hours (will include some nights, weekends and holidays).
High School Diploma and 4 years of work experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Background check, MVR check, Driver's License with acceptable driving record, and reliable vehicle required.
