Supervised By: Director of Music/Senior Pastor Rate of Pay: $25.00 per hour Terms of Employment: Part Time (Hourly) Total Weekly Hours: 5-7 hours
Purpose of Position:
Provide inspiring music for Sunday morning worship and weekly rehearsals.
Schedule of Expected Hours:
Sunday mornings 9:30 am to 12:00 noon. (2 ½ hrs)
Weekly choir and/or Praise Team rehearsals. (1 ½ hrs.)
Weekly self practice. (2-3 hrs)
Basic Qualifications:
Education/Training: High School Education or equivalent. Degree or ongoing education in music a plus.
Skills: An attitude of servant leadership with a teachable spirit. Ability to inspire and invite congregation into worship experience through music. Ability to play all types of music as specified by Director of Music.
Experience: Prior experience in a church or professional setting is preferred.
General Responsibilities:
Play Sunday mornings for worship and weekly choral/praise team rehearsals under direction of Director of Music.
Collaborate with the Director of Music and Pastor to plan music for worship.
Work with soloists and various groups as needed.
Play for special services, (weddings or funerals at additional pay) as needed.
Contact the Dir. of Music and assist in arranging a substitute as needed when absent.
Fill in for Director of Music on occasion when Dir of Music absent. (may require supporting both positions [Pianist & Music Director] simultaneously at times.)
Consult with SPRC (Staff Parish Relations Committee) annually for staff review and/or support.
Attend monthly church staff meetings as able.

Allowance for 2 weeks off yearly. (Additional days possible after consulting with Director of Music. Special musical guests may also enable additional days off.)
