Senior Geologist- Exploration

The primary role of the Senior Exploration Geologist is to lead target generation programs at and near the Haile gold mine and in the eastern USA. Essential functions include:Supports the Superintendent of Exploration in the definition, planning, and implementation of exploration programs to extend the Life of Mine (LOM) and increase resources and reserve baseOversee and contribute to geological work including core and RC chip logging, assist with drill logistics, sample collection, geologic mapping, geologic log review and reinterpretation, QAQC tracking and reporting, and other areas as neededOversee and contribute to 3D digital geologic models and generate interpretive sections and plan mapsDevelop drill targets through conceptual geological understanding and applied deposit knowledge including interpretation of lithological, structural, mineralogical, geochemical, and geophysical data setsContributes to new conceptual ideas relating to structural evolution and ore body genesis, supporting research and adoption of new technologiesContribute to technical reports and reporting products for a variety of audiencesDemonstrates commitment to continuous improvement through contributing to the optimisation of systems, processes and practices, regularly reviewing and identifying new opportunitiesEnsure robust QA/QC protocols are followed to ensure the quality and integrity of dataAct in accordance with and promote Company values and best practicesSupervise and mentor junior geologistsPerforms other duties as required
