Come be a part of our mission.Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGPS) seeks to fill a Sr. Principal Network Engineer position in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) to support a new Ground program. This position can be filled at any of our Morrisville, NC, Fairfax, VA, or Linthicum, MD offices. What you'll get to do? You'll work with the team to designs and plans network communications systems. Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network design. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network. Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Network Engineer:- 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline; 7 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 4 years of experience with a PhD
- Experience designing and implementing network connectivity between sites.
- Cloud experience
- Experience working with customer network and security teams
- Demonstrated experience quickly learning new concepts and approaches
- Active TS/SCI and willing to take a poly
- Active TS/SCI clearance with poly
- AWS cloud certification
- Experience with Agile development
- Effectively communicate and present to project and program management, other technical managers and customers
