DescriptionICF is seeking a Communications and Outreach Associate to support our growing team in North Carolina. Your work will contribute to connecting with the small business communities impacted by Hurricane Helene. You will develop and support communication and outreach campaigns, messaging, project timelines, and other tasks as needed.This is an opportunity to contribute to important communications projects from the beginning and all while building a great career at ICF! You’ll work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and communication needs happening in parallel. You’ll be a part of implementing the high-level communication strategy to streamline communication systems and projects as well as the development of the long-term communication planWhat you will be doing:
Serve as communications specialist specializing in writing across multiple communication projects.
Develop content for communication products including newsletters, blogs, presentations, reports, and promotional packages/toolkits, and website content.
Create engaging social media content for diverse audiences.
Draft promotional email marketing materials and newsletters.
Take detailed notes during client webinars, conferences, and presentations. As needed use notes to develop event follow-up materials such as meeting minutes, summaries, and reports.
Oversee the review and production of public-facing communications materials.
Ensure tasks meet internal and external deadlines.
Manage and track client deliverables and deadlines using SharePoint, Trello, Teams, and other project management tools.
Basic Qualifications:
BS or BA degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field or equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience supporting communications or outreach teams.
Professional Skills:
Detailed oriented, with superior verbal, written, personal interaction skills.
Experience developing content for a variety of communications channels.
Experience with working with certified businesses or diversity programs is a plus!
Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple ongoing activities.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Location: The successful candidate will be located in North Carolina.
