We are screening potential hires for my son, a young adult (23 yo) man with autism. He is quiet, sensitive, high receptive language, slow processing and low expressive language, to be paired with nurturing, patient and supportive person for one or two employment opportunities. He is attending day program in Cary from 9-3 pm M-F ( we take some time off for summer camp and to see family) in a structured school style program with arts, music, light academics, health etc. Must have valid driver's license from NC and reliable transportation. Must pass a national background check. $15 per hour with experience.
We also have community support and respite hours paying $15 per hour and require pick up at the day program and then time in the community: walks / activities in the park, library, YMCA (caregiver membership provided for you) and up to 24 hours per week. I provide a stipend for gas & travel ($200 month).
