The Field Service Technician is responsible for assisting with the activities of the overall Service functions.
This position will provide labor and skilled support to Service Manager and mechanics in the operation and maintenance of equipment. This position may drive equipment to customers, start/monitor equipment, perform routine maintenance or clean equipment in our service center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Perform service and maintenance on customer and company assets
Work with dispatch team on scheduling and completion of in shop and field work
Effectively communicate with the customer in regards to equipment repairs needed
Maintain an accurate truck inventory of company parts issued
Talk with customers regarding other company products offered
Perform inspections on company assets for general upkeep
Work-with and train customers on proper use of equipment
Input accurate service notes for customer and company assets serviced
Upholding professionalism by providing courteous customer service to visitors, clients, and vendors
Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
Two or more years of electrical and mechanical diagnosis and repair experience required
Experience with hydraulic systems, gasoline, and propane powered engines, a plus.
Equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered
Clear understanding of mechanical, electro-mechanical, servo-electric, electrical, and hydraulic control devices
Excellent computer skills
Must be a self-starter
Ability to read electrical diagrams
Must be able to use a multimeter
Must have own tools, specialty tools will be furnished by the company
Must possess proficient ability to communicate in English in oral and written format
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering data
Ability to effectively apply analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent time managing skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
