Join us and we can make a difference together.About This RoleCarrier WHQ Operations Supply Chain in Florida is seeking a Global Travel Manager , who can lead the Carrier Global Travel procurement programs; to strategically achieve optimum savings; and standardize programs with keen, detailed oversight on compliance with policy and practices. The Global Travel Manager must have a good grasp of data and financial analysis as well as credit card banking processes.The Global Travel Manager may be required to travel 5 -10% for meetings or events.This is a hybrid role for someone based in Florida . We are open to receiving resumes from out-of-state interested candidates who are willing to work in a hybrid capacity (3 days in office and 2 days remote). Formulate comprehensive procurement strategies for various travel-related categories, i.e., airlines, hotels, ground transportation, and other travel services

Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and pricing

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify specific travel-related needs and align procurement strategies with organizational objectives

Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical procurement practices

Contract Management:

Oversee the contract signing process; ensure all necessary legal and commercial terms are clearly defined and agreed upon

Monitor and evaluate supplier performance against established contract terms; address discrepancies or issues promptly.

Collaborate with legal and finance teams to handle contract modifications, extensions, and terminations

Supplier Management:

Establish a supplier evaluation framework to regularly assess the performance and capabilities of existing suppliers

Identify opportunities for supplier development; work closely with suppliers to improve offerings and service levels

Conduct supplier audits and evaluations to ensure compliance with quality standards, sustainability practices, and regulatory requirements

Internal Coordination:

Facilitate effective communication and cooperation with the Travel Operations team to understand their requirements and align procurement strategies accordingly

Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure budgetary adherence and cost optimization in the procurement process

People Management

Manage a small team of travel experts

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Meetings and Events, and/or Corporate Travel

3+ years of experience in change management, or project management with a focus on supply chain, corporate travel, finance, digital systems or banking/treasury

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree – Supply Chain, Business Management, Finance, and/or Corporate Travel

Proven track record of experience in Travel Services procurement, with a deep understanding of the intricacies of the industry

Ability to independently manage and execute end-to-end procurement projects, i.e., demand analysis, sourcing, negotiation, and contract management

Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in the travel or tourism industry

Keen interest in leveraging innovative solutions to enhance procurement processes

Analytical skills (including data and financial analysis) and the ability to make data-driven decisions, by using procurement software and tools

Negotiation, presentation and English communication(verbal/written) skills

Able to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Detail-oriented and organized, capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
