Our comprehensive portfolio meets the growing technical requirements of today’s and tomorrow’s power grid!We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer . This position will be based in Wendell, NC.Overview:Siemens is growing and we are excited to welcome 2 new entry level mechanical engineers to the team! We pride ourselves on creating a diverse and engaging environment for new engineers to quickly develop practical design experience working directly on customer orders.Responsibilities:

Work with guidance from assigned mentor and sr. engineer to design models of parts and assemblies for energy management equipment from concepted to completed 3D model

Be a critical part of a custom designed to order business focused on unique customer requirements

Work directly with the factory manufacturing team addressing any challenges as they produce your designs

Help improve our products by working collaboratively to identify design enhancements and then working to integrate them

Create Bills of Materials, develop new assemblies, validate functionality, and release the part/assemblies to production

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic Qualifications

BS in Mechanical Engineering (to be completed before start date)

1 years’ experience in 3D modeling on the job or demonstrated knowledge on school projects

No travel required, optional remote work part time after training.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with mechanical design for medium voltage switchgear.

The pay range for this position is $59,430 - $101,880. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
