Apply today.About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Control Management Director to join the COO Global Operations Control team.The leader will be responsible for executing business management routines, providing governance support, and managing multiple strategy and planning activities.In this role, you will:

Manage various governance and meeting routines in alignment with existing key risk management priorities and key risk and control programs.

Lead key employee planning and support initiatives across Global Operations Control in support of our strategic initiatives.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development by overseeing horizontal execution of key activities across the Global Operations Control team

Lead all large-scale transformation initiatives across Global Operations Control in an effort to drive consistency and support our overall strategy.

Support Business Controls team in strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues by ensuring all process weaknesses or gaps are identified and remediation plans are supported and acted upon

Interpret and support applicable policies and procedures for the Business Control teams

Collaborate and partner with key stakeholders to identify efficiencies across existing processes and programs.

Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and aligned with strategic objectives across Global Operations Control

Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategies

Required Qualifications:

8+ years of Risk Management or Business Controls experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

4+ years of Management experience

Desired Qualifications:

Substantial experience in Global Operations and business control management

Outstanding executive communication skills, both written and verbal, with a track record of presenting to senior leaders and to management committees

Front-line risk and controls experience, including overseeing/driving development of controls and management information (i.e., dashboards and workflow) and risk prioritization and enterprise program implementation

Proven experience supporting multiple governance/meeting routines across complex and teams with competing priorities and deliverables

Strong judgment and confidence in decision-making in support of management risk routines, including conflict resolution and application of corporate values

Collaborator and team player, able to translate prior business knowledge and experience into strong and productive relationships internally and externally to achieve goals and meet responsibilities

Self-starter with a working knowledge of risk management fundamentals and translation of policy into formal programs and related workflows

Strong understanding of expected L1/L2 risk types and applicability across a variety of complex businesses

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work as a member of a broader team, and ability to adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated ability to actively lead projects/discussions, work through problems and reach decisions that are in the best interest of the function and the Company

Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
