We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flooring Installer to join our small team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience in various flooring types and possess a strong understanding of installation techniques. This role requires a commitment to quality craftsmanship and the ability to work efficiently in diverse environments, including residential and commercial settings.
Full-time, Part-time work
Pay: $15.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week (variable)
Job Duties:
Install a variety of flooring materials, including LVP, laminate, tile, and carpet. Experience in all flooring types not required, but preferred.
Prepare surfaces by restoring and leveling floors as needed, or repairing subfloors.
Perform trim carpentry tasks to ensure proper finishing around edges and transitions.
Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installations.
Conduct fixture installation related to flooring projects, such as setting toilets.
Maintain a clean and organized work area on sites.
Apply caulking where necessary to ensure a finished look.
Job Qualifications
Proven experience in flooring installation. Must have at least 3 years of flooring installation experience of some sort.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in flooring installation.
Strong knowledge of various flooring materials and installation methods.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
Must have secure means of transportation to various job sites in the Wilmington, NC area.
