Description Robert Half is currently working with a client looking for a Purchasing Agent. Responsibilities of the Purchasing Agent include collaborating and negotiating with suppliers to purchase goods and services for the company. As the Purchasing Agent you will be processing purchase orders, in addition to locating suppliers and researching goods, services and materials. This is the Purchasing Agent position for you if you are a highly analytical and deadline oriented professional!Major responsibilities
Research and compare suppliers, goods, and services
Design and organize purchase orders
Oversee relationships with key suppliers to maintain compliance to terms of contracts, quality of goods, and timely delivery
Manage records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments
Assess supplier profiles and analyze offers
Develop and submit detailed reports (revenues, buying expenditures, etc.)
Request cost proposals, negotiating contracts and prices
Track levels of inventory and own purchasing needs Requirements - Strong documentation and organization skills
High school diploma or GED required
Proficiency in CRM, ERP, and inventory management software programs
Strong research and analytical skills
Quality negotiation and communication skills
Degree in business administration, procurement, or a related field preferred
Prior experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar position
