Bridge Inspector

Description:

Perform on and off-site daily inspections.

Witness field tests and fabrication shops to ensure conformity of material and works according to the contract specifications.

Perform inspections upon delivery of materials, equipment and products as delivered.

Produces reports on quality performance measured against indicators.

Ensure Quality Records are accurately completed in accordance with project plans and ITPs.

Review WMSs and develop/review ITPs.

Assist in developing and updating all inspection forms and checklists.

Review current design and shop drawings, requests for information (RFI) and red-line drawings prior to conducting any inspection. Use inspection checklists to record findings. Report any Non-Conformances, Opportunities for Improvement, issued, deficiencies, etc.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

A two-year related degree: or equivalent of education and experience preferred.

Experience in the civil design, engineering, or construction industry; with experience in a project's quality system.

Previous Experience in a quality role is an asset.

Experience with issue management, and inspection of work put in place.
