Job Overview
We are a private family seeking a compassionate and dedicated Weekend Caregiver to provide exceptional support for our 88-year-old dad and grandpa. He is easy-going and has a good sense of humor and is much loved by his current caregivers. If you have a passion for caregiving and enjoy accompanying seniors and their families, we want to hear from you!
What you’ll do
Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Only needed occasionally. Home is very clean and neat.
Provide companionship through engaging conversations, reading the newspaper to him and wheeling outside to get some fresh air, if possible.
Administer medications according to care plans.
Support his wife who is the primary caregiver.
Basic qualifications
Experience in senior care is essential.
Priority given to those who have worked in private family care in the past.
Skills in patient observation and monitoring to effectively track changes in condition.
Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting with mobility or transfers.
