SH Distributing is offering positions full time and Part Time as needed Class A CDL Drivers. Consistently Updated Equipment.
Full Time Position - Home most nights. Hourly Pay (Get paid while in slow moving traffic or waiting to get unloaded) Deliver Trailers, Pick up Materials, Run loads between our Humboldt Iowa plant and Our Burbank, OH Plant.
Part Time Position - Looking for two Part time drivers to deliver Loads as needed. Whether you are a retired driver looking for a little extra cash here and there or your looking to add some extra runs then this position is perfect for you.
Responsibilities for both Positions:
Safe and proper use of various hand, air, power tools, ratchets and straps.
Properly identify and inspect all loads for defects to ensure quality products.
Inspects all connections to ensure loads are properly secured.
Assures deficiencies are corrected or communicated as needed.
Completes and forwards required paperwork and checklists as per the Company guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must have reliable transportation.
Provide Class A CDL and medical ODOT certification with acceptable driving record.
Must be experienced or willing to learn the use of various tools and technology.
Must be able to read and understand driving guidelines and directions.
Mechanical aptitude a plus.
Able to correctly maintain driver log book and fuel/trip logs.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to frequently bend, stoop and/or sit for periods of time.
Must be able to exert moderate effort with a lifting requirement of up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to Drive/Work 14hr days, 4 to 5 days in a row within DOT Guidelines - Full time
Must have knowledge of DOT laws and terminology
