Reporting to the EHS Manager, you will support the safety and environmental aspects in the facility. Your primary focus will include environmental training and tracking, policy adherence, collaborating with other departments, audit and incident follow-up tracking and trending. You will also be responsible for Plant Sustainable Development and participate in the plant's sustainability programs. You will be an important member of the EHS Team focused on performance measures of Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability. This onsite position supports a 3-shift canning / thermal processing operation of 550 employees which produces a wide array of products such as Wendy's Chili, VanCamps beans, Hunts Tomato sauces, Vienna sausage, and LaChoy products. Established in 1942, our plant in Archbold, Ohio comprises 830,000 square feet and sits on 69 acres.You Will:

Input data using computers and related software.

Monitor recycling waste streams to achieve the plant's target goal of 100% landfill diversion rate and 0% Hazardous Waste for the site.

Complete Ongoing Environmental and Safety Inspections such as SPCC, SWPPP, Hazardous waste, Universal Waste, Spill Containment, Fire Extinguisher, Eyewash, Ladders, and Fall Protection

Manage site wastewater permit compliance activities.

Perform EHS Management system checks and compliance inspections for programs such as: LOTO, PIT, Fall Protection, PPE.

Facilitate training classes.

Document and Organize within Conagra EHS Management System that items are submitted and completed promptly.

Participate in continuous improvement activities to assist site in achieving important business need goals

You Have:

BS/BA with a preference for Environment, Health & Safety or related discipline, required.

3+ years of increasing safety experience in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge and practical application of risk-management techniques.

Experience working with a diverse group of people.

Professional experience in a food manufacturing environment.
