Founded in 1837, Cuyahoga County’s safety-net health system operates four hospitals, four emergency departments and more than 20 health centers.Summary:Assists patients prior to, during, and after rehabilitation treatments. Performs patient registration duties, including but not limited to scheduling appointments, tracking insurance authorizations, and ensuring the accuracy of payor data. Ensures that assigned area(s) are in proper operational order, including checking equipment/accessories and maintaining patient care areas. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.Qualifications:Required:

High school diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.

1 years of job-related experience.

BLS Certification from the AHA OR obtains within 90 days of hire.

Proficient PC skills, including using medical records systems such as Epic.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a diverse patient population.

Excellent customer service skills.

Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

All qualified applicants must pass the post-employment test with a score of 80% or better.

Access to reliable transportation to travel to different sites within the Ambulatory Network.

Able to work in assigned area(s) and any other clinic based on operational needs.

Able to work occasional evenings and/or weekends based on operational needs.Preferred:

Experience in a hospital, medical practice, or educational/medical research setting.

Experience with medical billing and coding.

Knowledge of medical terminology.

Fluency in writing, speaking, and interpreting both English and Spanish.Physical Requirements:

May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.

May need to sit or stand for extended periods.

See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.

Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.

Ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds on occasion.

Ability to push/pull up to seventy-five (75) pounds.

Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
