Our direct, Fortune 100 client HQed in the Cleveland, OH area is looking for a REMOTE Lean IT Consultant. This long-term need would start as a 12 month, extendable contract. You would be responsible for coordinating, facilitating, implementing and enhancing broad and direct Lean activities that are independently identified or identified by management

Day to Day Responsibilities: - Facilitates Lean improvement activities in IT engaging the business when needed. - Provides coaching and mentoring to varying levels within the organization on the application of Lean in IT for management systems and improvements. - Adjusts methods, tools, messaging and approaches so as to enable evolutionary adoption within the client s culture that meets the Lean Vision and Objectives within IT. - Translates Lean concepts into practical business and IT language to ensure ongoing engagement and participation of stakeholders. - Provides training using the client s Lean processes, rather than outside materials/processes. Develops and enhances materials and methods for the Lean education and training program. - Assists IT Lean leadership in the planning and identification of approaches for implementing Lean broad and direct initiatives. - Delivers the cultural and change management strategies required for successful implementation and sustained operation of the Lean culture. - Actively participates in communication requirements and activities. - Captures, records and tracks benefits of Lean improvement efforts; Articulates findings and outcomes of the Lean process. - Maintains professional relationships and involvement within assigned business areas. - Identifies and adopts new and innovative tools and technologies that enhance the value of Lean in IT.

Essential Skills:

- Strong experience coaching others including executive levels of leadership on Lean and Agile principles/practices/tools - Experience facilitating process improvement initiatives using various techniques (PDCA, A3, DMAIC, etc.) - Proven track record of leading others through significant change & experience with Organizational Change Management frameworks (e.g. ADKAR) - Experience leading an organization in adoption of a new Management System (e.g., Visual Management, Stand-Ups/Huddles, Weekly Goal Setting, Problem Solving, Go-Sees, Leader Standard Work)

Plusses:

- Experience with IT Process Analysis (Agile Coaching), providing leadership and coaching on Enterprise IT Lean Agile practices - Coaching on the execution of SAFe (scaled agile framework for enterprises), by applying Lean Agile principles to all processes, Scrum teams, and IT/Business partnerships. - Adjustments of IT KPIs, speed of decisions, prioritized work and optimized investments. - Facilitating voice of the customer, value stream maps, end user story mapping, MVP, vertical slicing, user stories, writing Gherkin statements, problem solving sessions, and retrospectives
