Job Title: Final InspectorPay: 28.69Job DescriptionFinal Inspector: (Must be open to all shifts)

Perform incidental minor salvage operations.

Make final disposition of product and keep necessary records.

Perform hardness tests of the finished metal parts.

Perform layout work to check dimensions with measuring tools.

Perform dye check of forgings.

Obtain and maintain certification as a final, and blacklight inspector.

Prepare, dip, drain, wash, emulsify, develop, dry and inspect stock and forgings using blacklight technique.

Probe and remove defects observed in inspection process.

Repair and blend surface defects, as required.

Occasionally draw sketch of defect and locate defect on drawings.

Layout forgings for bandsawing and machining.

Pack and unpack product for shipment in conjunction with the inspection operation.

Use industrial trucks to transport material in work area.

Ensure product is up to customer specifications before checking off in the system.

Shift Schedule: Must be open to all shifts. This is a Union environment so there is not a set shift we can promise. Currently working a 12 on 2 off schedule (Every other weekend off).Start Date: As soon as possible (Orientation classes every Tuesday).Skills

Job TypeThis is a permanent position.Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Cleveland, Ohio.Work EnvironmentThis department inspects finished forged metals for the industry. It will be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It is a heavy industrial manufacturing environment with metals weighing anywhere from 20 - 350 lbs. There will be no physical lifting requirements; all metals are moved via crane or automated robot.
