The Fund Accounting Technology group within Securities Services Technology is seeking an experienced Technology Manager to lead a team of technology professionals.The team both develops in-house applications and manages vendor-developed solutions in support of Citi’s Global Funds Services business in North America and across the globe. The successful application will lead the North American team based in Columbus, Ohio, and off-shore. They will develop a strong working relationship with their business and operations partners locally and in-country, and with technology colleagues internationally.This role may suit an individual with strong software development and vendor management experience, ideally in a financial services environment. Experience in Funds Services or Fund Accounting is a distinct advantage.Responsibilities:Manage teams of technology professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)

Develop, influence and lead a strategy for technology modernisation where required

Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards

Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals

Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources

Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Manage vendors that provide application services to Citigroup.

Qualifications/Experience:Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Master’s degree preferred

10+ years of relevant experience including application development and vendor management

An experienced people manager and managing teams in multiple locations

Working knowledge of industry practices and standards

Skills:Strong technology management background, with experience of evolving technologies

The ideal candidate will have a background in Financial Services including platforms such as InvestOne

Self-driven with a passion for change

Natural ability to act with a sense of urgency and passionate about delivery

Have a strong focus on risk and controls

Ability to work across all levels of the organization

Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
