Job Title: Water and Fire Damage Technician

Job Overview
PuroClean Home Savers is seeking a skilled Water and Fire Damage Technician to join our team of professionals dedicated to restoring homes and businesses after water, fire, and other disaster-related damages. As a technician, you will play a critical role in responding to emergency situations, mitigating damage, and restoring properties to their pre-loss conditions with a sense of urgency and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Damage Assessment: Evaluate the extent of water, fire, mold, and smoke damage to residential and commercial properties.
Mitigation & Restoration: Perform water extraction, structural drying, dehumidification, and fire/smoke cleaning services. Use specialized equipment like air movers, dehumidifiers, and cleaning agents.
Demolition & Repair: Remove damaged materials (e.g., drywall, flooring, ceilings) and assist with reconstruction efforts.
Customer Interaction: Communicate clearly with clients, explaining the restoration process, providing updates, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of job progress, documenting the scope of work, before-and-after photos, and necessary insurance information.
Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, industry standards, and regulations, including IICRC guidelines.
Emergency Response: Be available for on-call work, including nights and weekends, to respond to emergency situations promptly.
Qualifications:
Experience: Prior experience in water, fire, or mold restoration is preferred.
Certifications: IICRC certification in Water Damage Restoration, Fire and Smoke Restoration, or similar is an advantage.
Skills: Ability to use and maintain restoration equipment. Basic carpentry and demolition skills are a plus.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy equipment (50+ lbs), perform physically demanding tasks, and work in various environments.
Valid Driver's License: A clean driving record is required.
