Job Description

SUMMARY:

The Financial Analyst – Windows will provide reporting and analysis to the Windows Manufacturing leadership team. Reporting to the Windows Division Controller, this position will gather data, develop analysis, and deliver accurate, timely and proactive reporting for the largest manufacturing division of a $1.3B company. The successful candidate will develop and deliver forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and analysis within the Windows team, being a key team member driving profitable results.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Support the Windows Division Controller and VP of Manufacturing Finance in preparing timely and accurate forecast, budgets, reports and analysis. Specific focus on freight forecasting and reporting.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of processes and reporting – challenge the status quo.
  • Assist division controller with month end closing process, journal entries, etc.
  • Support strategic relationships across various parts and levels of the business, leveraging core responsibilities of the position to create business value.
  • Support the Windows Cost Analyst with ad hoc reporting, standard cost updates and deviation requests.
  • High energy, high ownership of work product and dedication and commitment to driving results.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Plant Controllers to prepare weekly forecasts at the consolidated level.
  • Report daily/weekly performance, by plant, such as efficiency, warranty performance, backlog, etc.
  • Leverage business process knowledge and data querying skills to obtain / validate / analyze data. As necessary, present data and relevant conclusions to management, sales, operations and other stakeholders.
  • Compile routine and ad hoc research & analysis in support of management's business unit objectives.
  • Analyze information requests, assess current sources, and determine best (i.e. effective and efficient) means to meet information needs.
  • Improve budget templates for each plant and work with Plant Controllers, Division Controller & VP of Manufacturing Finance to drive improvements in the budgeting process.
  • Support other divisions (vinyl/metals) as needed

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting
  • High proficiency Excel, MS Access and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with management systems and ERP.
  • 2+years of successful, progressive career development. Industry experience a plus.
