The Seasonal Bin Welder, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, has the responsibility for repairing seed bins, including welding as needed; AND, receiving, milling, treating, inspecting, bagging, palletizing, loading, weighing, or moving processed seed product,and performing general maintenance on processing equipment, as a member of the Seed Team. The expected compensation range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending upon skills & experience.
Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance on seed bins; straightening and welding.
Operate a forklift in activities of storing and transferring seed.
Support Team's work environment.
Perform general duties in seed process equipment fabrication and repair.
Load and unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device, and maintain related records.
Utilize forklift skills to transport loads to designated areas. Unolad and stack material by utilizing lift/lower device.
Work in other departments as assigned, such as operating processing or packaging equipment, cleanup, record keeping, or shipping.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Understanding of metal fabrication processes including welding. Including types of welders, MIG, ARC, GAS, TIG, and other fabrication equipment.
Simple mathematical abilities: addition, multiplication, decimals.
Achieve a satisfactory score to maintain a forklift certification.
Must be able to perform duties satisfactorily.
Ability to read and understand instructions and present information to suppliers, clients, and other employees.
Education:
High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience
Experience:
Welding and steel fabrication processes.
Forklift operations.
