Canyon Management is seeking a reliable, hands-on Full-Time Handyman/Property Manager to oversee maintenance and basic management duties at seven residential properties (49 units) in Dayton, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, is comfortable working independently, and enjoys a mix of maintenance and tenant interaction.
Position: Full-Time Handyman / Property Manager
Location: Dayton, OH
Compensation: Competitive salary plus housing provided
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, etc.)
Handle work orders and respond to maintenance requests in a timely, professional manner
Complete unit turns, including cleaning, minor repairs, and preparing units for new tenants
Conduct regular property inspections and identify needed repairs or safety issues
Coordinate and oversee outside contractors as needed
Maintain common areas, grounds, and building exteriors
Assist with basic property management tasks such as:
Meeting with tenants for move-in/move-out
Addressing tenant concerns related to maintenance
Reporting occupancy and maintenance issues to ownership/management
Qualifications
Previous experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or similar role required
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building systems
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Reliable, organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks
Good communication and customer service skills when working with tenants
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
Must provide own tools.
