We are unique in that we have a rich and storied history dating back to 1843, but that hasn't stopped us from evolving into a vibrant, diverse, global growth company.What You'll DoAs a Stanley Production System Transformation Leader, you'll be responsible for driving continuous, significant improvements and transformation in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and working capital within the Industrial & Global Tools & Storage Business Units. This will be achieved by developing a world class organization and methodically implementing the strategic objectives (a unique combination of strategic planning, strategy deployment, lean management/manufacturing techniques and six sigma tools). Specifically, you'll:- Drive the Stanley Production System (SPS), Advanced Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 vision at both the business and plant levels and inspire others to connect with the vision by driving a lean culture and implementing SPS/Industry 4.0 tools and processes
- Ensure the development of site level transformational plans to achieve strategy
- Participate in the facility leadership meetings to monitor progress to the strategic plan and redirect activities and resources as needed to improve production and quality, drive cost out of the business, and improve sustainability of new technologies
- Lead regular project deployment & KPI reviews ensuring attainment of results and a sense of urgency with respect to the strategic implementation priorities
- Program manage cross cutting initiatives to drive transformative efforts
- Lead small agile teams to deliver quick results against specific goals
- Be responsible for collaborating with business unit and cross functional teams to deliver assigned financial target
- Support sharing of best practices as result of internal and external benchmarking activities
- Manage a structured closure process to drive accountability on follow-up activities
- Travel Required: Up to 50%
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
- 7-12 years leadership experience in a distribution center/manufacturing, Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing environment, with a demonstrated track record of significant performance improvement.
- Experience in lean culture development and lean tool implementation
- A strong track record of driving performance in a fast-paced, global environment through business systems.
- High personal energy and influence in every interaction, and lead by example. Ability to energize and motivate the organization around the growth vision and direction.
- Resourcefulness, combining strong manufacturing and technical abilities with overall management acumen.
- Ability and passion to rapidly learn and utilize the business system to achieve objectives.
- High expectations (driven by metrics and countermeasures) for self and the organization.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization.
- Autonomous drive and self-direction
- Experience championing change management.
- Strong project management knowledge and execution skills.
- Manufacturing experience in metal fabrication, injection molding, finishing/machining, and/or assembly preferred.
