Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the manufacturing industry, based in ELYRIA, Ohio. The selected candidate will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including processing journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing quarterly reports. With a strong focus on efficiency and accuracy, this role is pivotal in maintaining our financial health and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.Responsibilities: Processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded. Managing accounts receivable and payable. Conducting regular bank reconciliations. Overseeing and maintaining the general ledger. Assisting with month-end close procedures. Preparing quarterly reports and budgets. Utilizing advanced MS Excel functions, such as pivot tables and vlookups, to analyze data. Gaining proficiency in either Oracle or SAP for managing financial transactions. Managing and resolving customer inquiries related to their accounts. Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions when necessary. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required. Proven experience in a Staff Accountant role in the Manufacturing Industry. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP. Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Ability to perform bank reconciliations. Familiarity with general ledger functions. Experience in preparing journal entries. Ability to handle month-end close procedures. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong organizational and time management skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
