Lab Accessioners ensure the accurate intake, processing, and management of DNA testing cases, maintaining compliance with chain-of-custody requirements and client expectations. They are responsible for opening samples, comparing information, addressing concerns, solving problems, and entering client data correctly into the Laboratory Information System to ensure that every case is successfully completed. They must have excellent data entry skills, be detail oriented, and organized. This position plays a vital role in ensuring timely process of samples, from receipt to final reporting.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesProcess and verify incoming sample packages, ensuring chain of custody and package integrityAccurately input and audit patient and contract information into the Laboratory Information System Manage case assignments, track progress, and determine case resolution and closure.Identifies complete and partial cases, following established procedures for processing.Prepare and send final reports, chain-of-custody documents, and affidavits in a timely manner.Input partial billing informationCoordinating and providing service that is timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and client-centeredMeet or exceed productivity targets, ensuring timely case processing and resolution.Prepare AffidavitsNotarize case documents as required (limited).Collaborate with internal departments, including Laboratory Operations and Customer Service, to facilitate case resolution.Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on policies and procedures.Other duties as assigned or become evident
