Operator I

Position Purpose: We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Industrial Wastewater Equipment Operator to run and maintain high-capacity centrifuges and filter press systems used in wastewater treatment and sludge dewatering processes. The operator will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, equipment efficiency, and overall environmental performance of our facility.Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Operate, monitor, and adjust dewatering equipment including centrifuges and filter presses.Prepare equipment for operation by inspecting components, checking lubrication, and verifying instrumentation.Start up, operate, and shut down systems according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).Monitor process parameters such as flow rates, pressures, torque, cake dryness, and filtrate clarity.Troubleshoot mechanical or process issues and coordinate maintenance as needed.Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance of all assigned equipment.Collect, label, and log samples for laboratory analysis.Maintain accurate records, including logbooks, inspection checklists, and maintenance schedules.Assist with chemical handling (e.g., polymers, pH adjustment) and safe disposal of sludge cake and residuals.Follow all safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and PPE requirements.Support environmental and compliance audits by providing data and access to systems.Work Environment:Work is performed in an industrial setting with exposure to noise, odors, chemicals, and moving machinery.
