Collaborating with multiple cross-functional stakeholders, it will be essential to cast a clear vision for how these strategies and programs will build Valvoline brand equity, increase consideration, and create value for retailers and installers. The position improves Valvoline’s relevance and favorability with key audiences while maintaining high overall brand awareness. This role is responsible for managing contracts to extract maximum value from partnerships and delivering on key strategic objectives in product brand management.Valvoline Global Operations Headquarters is located in Lexington, KY. We prefer candidates working in-office (hybrid 3x a week schedule).In this role, you will be responsible for:
Leading sponsorship strategy and execution for the U.S. Do-It-Yourself (DIY) channel. Collaborating and negotiating contracts, managing assets, messaging, and creative. Responsible for budget tracking and collaborating with content and social managers to incorporate assets into macro communication strategies.
Responsible for managing annual planning, editorial calendars, and measurement. Works closely with Brand and Sales Teams on strategy and channel approach. Manages contract executions and on-time billing. Maintains a pulse on new, emerging prospects to support key business strategies. Responsible for ongoing measurement to drive creative optimizations with partners. Provides quarterly and annual reporting insights and recommendations to measure against the full media plan.
Serve as the go-to DIY Marketing contact for two product lines, delivering on the day-to-day needs and strategy of the business including pricing, technical expertise, sales support, product supply needs, and line review leadership.
Managing sports marketing agency, driving efficiency with a focus on time management and strategic priorities. Defines KPIs and measures the effectiveness/ROI of sponsorship initiatives.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, advertising, or related area.
Minimum 4 years experience in marketing with a focus on sponsorships and product brand management
Working knowledge of sports & entertainment, including motorsports and car culture
Working knowledge of traditional and digital media.
Strong relationship-building skills
Expert contract negotiation skills
Demonstrate experience translating objectives into strategic and tactical plans.
Ability to evaluate and optimize creative
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and independently, as needed.
