Job Description:

We are seeking a personable and organized Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This full-time position combines clinical and administrative responsibilities, with a strong focus on front desk operations, including answering calls, scheduling appointments, and managing patient referrals.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Responsibilities:

Administrative and Front Desk Duties:

Answer phone calls professionally and assist patients with inquiries.

Schedule and manage patient appointments efficiently.

Process and coordinate patient referrals to specialists or external services.

Verify patient insurance information and manage pre-authorizations as needed.

Greet patients and assist with check-in/check-out procedures.

Maintain accurate patient records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Clinical Duties:

Assist healthcare providers with patient care, such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and documenting medical history.

Perform basic clinical tasks, including administering medications, drawing blood, and performing EKGs as needed.

Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for procedures.

Communicate effectively with patients to provide instructions and answer questions about their care.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred but not required).

Prior experience in a medical front desk or clinical role is highly desirable.

Proficiency in medical terminology and EMR systems.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Exceptional communication skills and a friendly demeanor.

Spanish fluency is preferred but not required.
