And you can too, so bring your energy to ours!The Tax Analyst Sr. coordinates compliance processes, resolves highly sophisticated tax issues, provides leadership and mentorship to the tax team, and handles a diverse range of assignments and projects that require the use of experience, innovation and judgment. This role is also responsible for planning and conducting work requiring independent evaluation and assuming responsibility for contribution to the success of a project. Researches and identifies tax issues and potential tax savings

Ensures accurate and timely completion of tax compliance

Reviews analysis, reconciliations, and tax entries needed for financial statements

Responds to notices/general inquiries and assists with audit inquiries

Prepares reports and data to present to business partners

Prepares and reviews Ad Valorem tax returns and other working papers

Negotiates and settles values with state/local authorities

Develops annual Cost of Capital Studies

Works with legal counsel on property tax appeals and litigation

Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or Finance; a minimum of six (6) years experience preparing income tax returns

Preferred: Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation; previous public accounting experience, CPA

Other Requirements:

Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, PC skills, and data base management tools

Proficient knowledge of tax compliance, provision software, and accounting practices

Ability to analyze data and translate into meaningful information

Thrives in a team environment and willing to collaborate across departments

Ability to educate, train and mentor others

Preferred: Experience with cloud-based ERP systems

Experience with FERC regulation, understanding of how regulation impacts pipeline industry and property tax valuation

Extensive experience in central assessed valuation

Working knowledge of regulated accounting and property accounting
