Contract Drapery & Blind, Inc., is a Commercial and Residential Window Covering provider seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Associate. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our incoming and outgoing shipments, coordinating with the sales and installation teams, to ensure all products are staged and ready each day. This position requires a strong attention to detail, a self-starter mindset, reliability, and the ability to be flexible with various duties.
Load and unload deliveries from various carriers, including freight liners. Oversized orders are common, requiring the use of a Forklift. Certification will be required.
Order inspection, reading packing labels and analyzing received product, checking for damage, missing parts, and completion of delivery.
Organization skills, maintaining a well-kept and organized warehouse may require some creative space planning. The ability to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills is essential to ensure the correct parts and products are accounted for and present for outgoing orders and annual inventory.
Time management and the ability to maintain productivity without direction is a plus. The ideal candidate will be able to manage one's time in a way that is forward thinking and with a self-starter mindset.
Some computer skills are necessary for cross training in order tracking.
Light facility maintenance when needed.
Professionalism, strong communications skills, and a good attitude are a must.
This position is also at times required to assist the installers on job-sites.
Requirements:
Valid Driver's License
Valid Forklift Certification
Previous Warehouse Experience
Full-time availability - Monday - Friday - 8am-5pm
Ability to lift 50-70 pounds comfortably
Basic computer skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
