Description:Actalent is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on a verity of projects ranging from advanced facility to industrial construction.
Design for mechanical and process systems ranging from simple to complex. Types of design can include mechanical facility upgrades for semiconductor manufacturing plants, tool installation packages, facility HVAC, process piping and exhaust, and hydronic systems.
Coordination with design team members, both in mechanical/process and other disciplines.
Participation in client design review meetings and presentation of design strategies.
Preparation of P&ID drawings for various systems, construction specifications, sequences of operations, testing documents and engineering reports.
Services during construction, including field verification, site observations reports, responses to RFIs, and submittal reviews.
Skills:semiconductor, process piping, mechanical, design, facilities, consulting, plumbing, tool install, HVAC, process engineering, chemical engineering, Mechanical design, AutoCADAdditional Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with advanced technology and industrial clients is preferred.
Understanding of basic building code requirements.
Good communication and team player.
Good technical writing ability.
Highly organized.
Must show ownership and follow-through on assigned projects.
Interest in professional growth.
Ability to learn quickly and grasp new concepts, especially as they relate to engineering and construction.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.
BSME or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
