Lead Mechanic (swing shift)

POSTION PROFILE (Job Summary)
The Lead mechanic is responsible for supervising the swing shift team. This position is a working lead position that is required to make sure the mechanics stay on task and complete the tasks that have been given to them by the lead mechanic. The lead mechanic will be required to help the team perform repairs and maintenance on semi-trucks and trailers. This person will be required to deal with drivers directly to ensure all repairs have been addressed.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPSONSIBLIES
Must be proficient in the following.
- Oil Changes, fuel filter and lube
- PM inspections
- Air brakes systems, S-cams/bushings, slack adjusters.
- Light electrical, lighting, battery, alternators
- ABS
- Suspension, air bags
- Exhaust systems, to include DPF service
- Comply with federal and state vehicle regulations and requirements
Additional skills in the following are helpful but not required
- Welding, steel, and aluminum
- CDL
- Windshield replacement
- General Knowledge with electronic logs.
- Rolling tarp system
QUALIFICATIONS
- Full set of tools and toolbox
- 2 years of class A mechanic experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Pass pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to work as a team
- Take verbal and written directions
HOURS AND COMPENSASION
This Is a full time; 40 hour a week positions. Mon-Fri 3PM-11:30PM
