We are recruiting for a 3000+ acre family farm that takes prides in producing quality seed products in Lebanon and surrounding area. We grow an assortment of seed crops that are require year-round attention.
This position will work Monday-Friday up to 8-10 hours/day, 50 hours/week during spring and fall months. Late Spring and Summer months require Monday - Saturday shifts to support harvest machinery and seed processing equipment. During the winter months the normal work week is often Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.
Basic Job Responsibilities
Driving and servicing a variety of farm equipment including combines, windrowers, tractors, flail choppers, manual trucks, and ATVs.
Perform required maintenance on vehicles, trucks, tractors, and related farm and seed processing including support equipment.
Assist with various farm projects/work related errands with minimal supervision.
Flexibility to support other roles when needed to support the farm especially during harvest months.
Key Qualifications
Basic to advanced mechanical knowledge is ideal candidate.
Ability to drive and operate 13 speed truck.
Previous farm experience or comparable experience preferred
Basic to advanced knowledge of servicing requirements and maintenance procedures for motor vehicles, tractors, and seed processing equipment
Self-motivated and able to work alone and follow Farm Manager instructions.
Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Capable to plan work effectively and efficiently to achieve required results
Licenses and Certifications
Valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles.
Farm Endorsement is a plus, but not required.
Technical and trade school certifications or attendance is a plus, but not required.
Physical Environment
Often working outdoors in heat/humidity/cold and other weather conditions.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Work can be strenuous involving pushing, pulling, gripping, standing, walking, bending, stooping, grasping, and walking on soft or uneven surfaces while performing required duties in shop or field.
Ability to work long hours and have good attendance.
