Gathering Together Farm in Philomath, Oregon is seeking two part time Drivers for the Farmers' Market team. We sell high quality organic produce direct to our customers, through 6 weekly farmers markets, CSA, and to dozens of restaurants and specialty grocery stores around the Portland metro area.
The Farmers' Market Driver will be interacting with and selling directly to the general public, so we would be excited to find someone who is passionate about good food and organic agriculture - although driving competency is a priority of the position. This person should reside in the greater Philomath / Corvallis area.
A typical market day is about 12hrs, with a 4:30am start time and approx. 4:30pm finish back at the farm in Philomath. There is potential for other work on the farm, based on seasonal needs. We are hiring for the Beaverton Farmers' Market , every Saturday from Mothers day-Thanksgiving, and the Shemanski Farmers Market, every Wednesday from June-Thanksgiving. This position is primarily responsible for delivering and unloading palletized produce at the market location, while representing GTF in a positive, professional manner and providing great customer service. Experience with produce is highly desired, however not necessary.
