POSITION: Licensed Massage Therapist, Full-Time, W-2, (10-25 hours per week)

REPORTS TO: Nathan J. Heide, DAOM, MBA, LAc

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY

Anjuna Sports Acupuncture seeks an LMT who is proficient and enthusiastic about treating sports injury clients and chronic pain cases. Anjuna is a boutique healthcare clinic in downtown Eugene that has been operating since 2013. Dr. Heide works full-time treating sports acupuncture clients and is looking for a massage therapist to join his clinic. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Talk with clients about symptoms, medical history, and desired results.

Evaluate clients to locate painful or tense areas of the body.

Manipulate muscles or other soft tissues of the body.

Provide guidance on stretching, strengthening, and how to improve range of motion.

Propose client therapy plans.

Document client condition and progress.

Maintain treatment room, ensuring it is clean and ready for a positive client experience.

Available to work normal business hours and weekends as need by client base.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience with trigger point therapy, myofascial pain theory, and sports injuries.

2. Have an active OBMT massage license and maintain current personal liability insurance.

3. Understand and follow general infectious disease mitigation protocols.

4. Have completed recent Cultural Competency training.

5. Hold a current CPR certification.

6. Understand and follow all HIPAA regulations.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Current and good standing "License Massage Therapist" credentials from OBMT

One year (minimum) of practice experience in massage therapy

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Proficient in current Oregon massage rules, regulations and treatment plan development

Proficiency in SOAP note writing

Demonstrated proficiency in bedside empathy and verbal communication skills

Able to work independently while completing tasks and assignments with limited oversight
