Rosboro is currently looking for a detail-oriented Environmental Compliance Manager to manage all environmental compliance programs and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations. This role involves managing air, water, waste, and hazardous material compliance while supporting sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities
Air Quality Compliance
o Manage Title V and Air Contaminant Discharge Permits
o Conduct regular inspections for opacity, boiler tune-ups, and emissions testing
o Maintain certifications for opacity reading and asbestos inspections.
Stormwater & Wastewater Compliance
o Ensure compliance with DEQ General Stormwater Permits, including BMP’s, inspections, sampling, and reporting.
o Prepare and submit wastewater monitoring reports.
o Maintain and revise Slug Discharge and Stormwater Pollution Control Plans annually.
Hazardous Waste Compliance:
o Manage hazardous and universal waste to include volume tracking and maintaining compliance with VSQG thresholds.
o Inspect hazardous waste storage areas and oversee disposal programs.
SPCC & UST Compliance
o Monitor petroleum storage systems and conduct monthly inspections.
o Spill response and maintain up-to-date SPCC and UST plans.
o Provide training for Class C UST operators as needed.
Regulatory Reporting
o Prepare and submit required reports, including EPA Form R, greenhouse gas emissions, and State Fire Marshal hazardous substance reports.
o Ensure timely permit renewals and updates for ALL regulatory programs.
Manage solid waste disposal, recycling, and wildlife pest control agreements.
Facilitate employee environmental training programs annually.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
5+ years of experience in environmental compliance, preferably in manufacturing or wood products industries.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field(or equivalent experience.)
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations (EPA, DEQ, etc.)
Certifications, or ability to become certified, in relevant areas (Method 9, Asbestos Inspector, UST Class A Operator) preferred.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
