ABOUT THE MAINTENANCE TECH POSITION
We need someone who can handle maintenance calls when things go wrong on a job. 90% of the time it's just a bulb has gone out and 90% of those calls are just getting up there and tightening the bulb. But occasionally there are blow-downs from the weather or other issues. It's pretty rare that any serious electrical troubleshooting is necessary.
We offer our clients a 24 hour maintenance guarantee so that means you need to be able to respond to each call within 24 hours. You will get a notice through our system, along with a description of the issue and all the info you need and you just need to get out there and fix it up to keep our customers happy all the way through Christmas Eve.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
-Field maintenance calls from Ashland to Grants Pass, Jacksonville to Shady Cove within 24 hours
-Assess the issue and fix it on site.
-Use our app to log the issue, the solution and track your time and mileage.
SCHEDULE
-You can handle these calls at whatever time of day works best for you (except late at night), as long as they are handled within 24 hours. Work this around your current schedule. That's fine with us.
-Work will start the week of November 4 and continue up to Christmas Eve.
- It will start out slow, just an occasional call here and there.
-It will build around Thanksgiving to potentially a handful of calls per day
-Generally after Thanksgiving, we have worked out all the kinks and the jobs stay lit until Christmas but occasional calls will come in between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
-We guarantee our lights all the way up to Christmas Eve 9pm.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
-No previous experience in Christmas lights or electrical systems required. Will train.
-Ability to handle every call within 24 hours, no exceptions, no excuses.
-Comfortable with ladder work and on roofs. Most of the calls will not require you to go on the roof, but occasionally, they will.
-Valid drivers license and clean driving record
-Dependable transportation that can carry a ladder on the roof
-Ability to work weekends and evenings if required
-No out of town plans between November 1 and Christmas. Must be in the area and on call for this whole period of time.
COMPENSATION
-$20/hour including drive time plus reimbursement for mileage according to Oregon requirements.
