Position Summary:
As Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company’s operations. This includes managing day-to-day accounting functions, job costing, cash flow, budgeting, and reporting. You’ll work closely with leadership to provide financial insight that supports smart, strategic decision-making and helps drive continued growth.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead and manage all accounting operations, including AR, AP, payroll, GL, and bank reconciliations
-Develop and maintain accurate job costing and work-in-progress (WIP) schedules
-Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
-Monitor cash flow, manage budgets, and forecast financial performance
-Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax regulations
-Oversee audits, tax preparation, and financial compliance activities
-Evaluate and improve internal controls, accounting procedures, and systems
-Collaborate with project managers to analyze job performance and profitability
-Provide strategic financial input to support business decisions
Qualifications:
-5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience; construction industry experience strongly preferred
-Strong understanding of job costing, WIP, and percent-complete accounting
-Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
-Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
-Ability to work independently and manage a small accounting team
