Property Management Accountant
Rent Portland Homes Darla Andrew’s Office is a Property Management Company primarily managing approximately 1100 single-family homes, seeking a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills to oversee our 4 member accounting team as a Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles for a Single-family Property Management Company and be proficient in using accounting software AppFolio -“MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR EXPERINCE WITH APPFOLIO SOFTWARE”.
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely Payment of owners, payment of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting the month-end closing process. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential for success in this role.

Job Description:
Process all accounts payable and receivable invoices and ensure accurate payments promptly.
Audit, review, and verify invoices.
Daily journal entries for accounts payable transactions.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Organize and maintain accurate files and documentation within accounts payable.
Assist with the month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Collaborating with internal departments to resolve any payment issues or inquiries.
Ability to handle influx of calls and emails in a timely fashion. If 30+ emails per day scare you, do not proceed.
Process daily deposits.
Processing move-ins/move-outs.
Bi-monthly check runs.
Generate monthly financial and accounting reports.
Monthly bank account reconciliations.
Processing Payables including coding invoices.
Processing Ending Management and Move Outs.
Cutting checks weekly.
Accounts Receivable/Payable
Skills:
Proficient in using accounting software such as AppFolio.
Property Management Software. Appfolio MUST HAVE.
Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles.
Familiarity with accounts receivable processes and procedures.
Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or errors.
Experience with general ledger accounting.
Strong computer skills proficient in Word, Excel, Google Drive and Outlook.
Knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and analytical software.
Ability to multi-task, meet frequent deadlines, prioritize, and have strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable communicating with clients, vendors, and coworkers.
Self-directed and high attention to detail.
This position is a Full-Time Position Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm.
