Description This position is fully remote, but you must have your CPC certificate or CCS certificate to be considered for the roleRobert Half is currently seeking a Certified Medical Coder to play a crucial part in providing efficient and accurate coding services to an outstanding healthcare organization in Portland, Oregon. This position is initially offered on a contract basis, with the potential to transition to a contract-to-permanent arrangement for the right candidate.Responsibilities:
Accurately extract patient records data
Review and interpret patient information to assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures
Aid in meeting reimbursement requirements by ensuring the correct assignment of diagnosis and procedure codes crucial for third-party reimbursement
Conduct necessary research and obtain information from providers
Collaborate with the team to research and resolve denied claims
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with patients, team members, clients, and more
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and organizational data, in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Undertake specific projects related to billing, data entry, and computer operations as required
Requirements
2+ years of experience in Medical Coding role or similar role
CPC Certificate or CCS Certificate required
Previous FQHC/RHC experience required
Medical Terminology knowledge required
EPIC electronic medical records system experience required
Inpatient experience highly desired
