BMWC is an industrial construction company seeking a Quality Manager to join the Quality Team. This crucial position allows you to contribute to the delivery of large-scale industrial construction projects.You will be part of a top-performing project team and report to an expert, Quality Director in the industry. This position regularly interacts with project managers, project engineers, site supervisors, and field employees.RESPONSIBILITIESAs the Quality Manager, you will:

Review applicable plans and drawings; understand requirements of customer specifications and provide copies as needed during inspections.

Understand what the governing construction codes are for all project activities.

Set up required NDE/PWHT and review procedures to ensure that project and code requirements are met.

Review the work scope in-order to assess which welding procedures need to be submitted for approval or need to be developed.

Develop and assist project teams in the development of training, quality plans, ITP’s, and turnover package structure.

Assist in obtaining qualified inspection and quality personnel, when required.

Monitor the implementation and awareness of the project Quality Program and plan and ensure all quality related roles, responsibilities, and activities are included.

Assist with or create Project Audit Plan and perform audits per plan.

Monitor participation in safety meetings and ensures that all safety related procedures and rules are followed.

Perform Safety observations and report and stop work on all unsafe conditions and acts.

Determine appropriate Standard Operating Procedures and forms required for the project and modify as needed to meet any project specific requirements.

Complete and maintain all quality related records and reports in accordance with internal procedures.

Ensure welders continuity is current.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the project quality personnel; assess any technical questions or investigations.

Ensure that appropriate personnel are informed of any nonconformance and investigate root cause, ensuring proper corrective action is taken and developing methods to avoid recurrence.

Ensure that Measure and Testing Equipment is correctly maintained and kept in calibration.

Provide for the control and disposition of any project quality related problems.

Participate in and/or coordinate Source inspections.

Attend owner and project team meetings, as required.

Ensures that quality records are achieved, as required.

Participate in lessons learned.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma required, post-secondary education preferred

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in industrial construction quality management

Certified Welding Inspector with AWS

Knowledge and application of ASME Codes

Experience and certifications for MT, PT, or UT inspections is a plus

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and aptitude to learn Compliance Software and internal systems
