We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. John Holt Dentisty is a high end private practice located in Lake Oswego, OR. We are currently open Monday-Wednesday. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a dental assistant, excellent customer service skills, and ability to learn and adapt to our office. Duties

Assist the dentist during various procedures, including but not limited to endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry.

Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.

Take dental X-rays while adhering to safety guidelines.

Record and update patient medical histories, including vital signs as necessary.

Provide support in managing patient flow, including scheduling appointments and coordinating with the dental receptionist.

Maintain accurate records of treatments and procedures performed.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

EFDA preferred

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is required.

Open Dental software experience preferred

Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and systems is essential.

Strong understanding of infection control practices in a dental setting.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.

Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
