Kellyville Residential Care Facility is seeking a Full-Time Medication Technician to join our team!

We are currently looking for individuals who are caring, punctual and engaging. Experience with Elderly's in a RCF setting is a plus! If you describe yourself as a friendly, dependable and determined individual who enjoys caring for others, then this may be the job for you!

The Ideal candidate will be patient, and friendly with excellent communication skills. Medication Technicians are to provide direct resident care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will enjoy the beautiful surroundings and philosophy guided by resident choice, dignity, and independence. This position involves assisting residents with medication administration and is a critical frontline role that requires great organization skills.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

o Must have compassion for and desire to work with Elderly.

o Knowledge of and ability to adhere to HIPPA policies.

o Must meet all health requirements, including TB.

o Must pass criminal background check and drug test.

o High school diploma or equivalent

o First aid/CPR certification and participation in annual training programs required.

o Completion of a state approved certified nursing program is preferred, but not required.

o Home health or senior health care preferred.

o Must be required to successfully complete training and examination in medication management approved by the health division.

o Must be able to read written direction, comprehend verbal instructions, and write at a level necessary to accomplish the job.

o Must have some knowledge of Medical Terminology

RESPONSIBILITES

o Passes medications and gives treatments according to physician's orders and in accordance with facility policy

o Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized medication cart and medication room.

o Responsible for maintenance of electronic medical records, assuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with regulations, certification standards, legal and ethical standards.

o Maintain an accurate and complete record of care provided and document observations appropriately.

o Inventory, store and reorder medications and transcribe physician orders received.

Shift Available is Monday-Friday from 2:00pm-10:30pm.

The shift available consists of four days as a med (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) and one day as a caregiver (Wednesdays). Serious inquiries only! Must have experience working as a medication tech for elderly.
