Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Machine Operator / Finishing Technician. This role is vital to our wood processing operations, supporting the transformation of raw and reclaimed materials into finished, sustainable wood products. You will work closely with our production team to ensure quality craftsmanship in every stage of production, from milling to finishing.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate sawmill machinery to cut and process raw and reclaimed wood materials.

Assist with the sorting, grading, and stacking of lumber.

Perform finishing tasks, including sanding, staining, and applying protective coatings to wood products.

Use various hand and power tools to shape and refine wood products.

Ensure the quality of finished materials meets company standards and customer specifications.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Follow safety protocols and ensure all equipment is used in compliance with safety guidelines.

Support production teams with various labor tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Ability to operate machinery and use hand/power tools safely and effectively.

Experience working in a mill, woodshop, or manufacturing environment is preferred.

Basic understanding of woodworking techniques and finishing processes.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
