Design Engineer/Project Manager

AAA builds food and beverage production equipment with over 20 years’ experience in Beer, Wine and Distilled Spirits Industries. We are a medium sized metal fabrication company located in The Dalles Oregon. We are in search of a mechanically inclined, hands on design engineer, who has experience in design work for the fabrication industry.

A successful candidate will have these traits:

BSME or equivalent educational background

Proficient in Solid Works 2018, and is familiar with drafting standards such as

ASME Y 14.41.

Auto cad 2010 or newer familiarity

Familiarity with metals used in food processing equipment

Familiarity with equipment used in metal fabrication

Experience with design of metal structures to be fabricated with standard Fab shop

Equipment including Press Brake, shear, Laser and waterjet.

Mechanically inclined and Hands on

Very well organized

Good communication skills

Enjoy working in a fast paced environment

Successful experience working independently

AAA is a medium sized company, a successful employee must be able to be to cover multiple areas of responsibility. This will mainly include working with production to produce production drawings, complete material take-off, following through to purchasing materials, work with manufacturing to answer questions and develop solutions to manufacturing problems and work with manufacturing to provide direction and project management.

With experience with industry projects, this position will develop into design based on customer need and project management from inception to installation.

We are looking for an individual who wants more responsibility and challenge, while working in an industry that interesting field.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience level.
