ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: RECONCRAFT is currently recruiting for skilled Aluminum Welders for our vessel manufacturing division.

Welders will perform full penetration welds with .035 and .047 aluminum wire using a pulse in all positions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: The ideal candidate will have experience fabricating welded aluminum boats, however, similar aluminum welding and fabrication experience is acceptable.

Specific skills include, but are not limited to, operating welding equipment using appropriate GMAW and GTAW techniques to weld aluminum, steel, and stainless steel sheet, plate, and extrusion in all positions. Preparing weldments using tools such as saws, routers, grinders, pneumatic cutting tools, wire brushes, and various hand tools of the trade. Basic interpretation of blueprints, drawings, weld symbols and schedules to lay out patterns on material. Performing welding in the fabrication phase of hull construction including sub-assemblies such as bulkheads, girders, decks, and pilothouses using jigs and fixtures. Securing small parts for assembly & welding. Operation of overhead cranes, forklifts, manlifts, and other fabrication equipment. Keeping work area professional, neat, and secure. The majority of RECONCRAFT’s designs are created in 3D CAD and CNC cut and formed for assembly, however, shop floor modifications may be required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: We require attention-to-detail, mechanical aptitude, and an appreciation for quality.

Ideal candidates will have experience with aluminum welding and be able to pass a weld test.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Indoor manufacturing environment.

Proper protective equipment will be provided as necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Candidates must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.

This position requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability, and visual acuity. Candidate must also be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to complete tasks.

Daytime shift

4-10's, Monday - Thursday

6:00am - 4:30 pm

Weekend shift

3-12's, Friday - Sunday

6am - 6pm
