We are a passionate business offering high quality natural healthcare to our patient family. This is a full time position, approximately 35-40 hours per week (M-F, no weekends). This job does not require previous medical experience as we are willing to train the right individual but it does require experience with BASIC BOOKKEEPING AND ACCOUNTING BACKGROUND.

The starting hourly rate for this position is $21-$24, depending on experience. Reviews are done on a regular basis to assess performance and compensation adjustments.

Benefits are accrued vacation after first year of employment, paid holidays, monthly health allowance to spend on insurance premiums or as employee chooses.

Ideal Candidate

This position requires that you are extremely proficient with numbers and data entry.

You are a confident, adaptable, flexible, spontaneous, and personable individual to join our small, single-practitioner Naturopathic clinic in Milwaukie, Oregon.

You are excellent with people, able to build a rapport quickly, service oriented, welcoming, grounded and confident with your capabilities, willing to make mistakes, willing to learn from your mistakes, trustworthy and an open-communicator.

Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Must have excellent multi-tasking abilities and be able to follow procedural guidelines when working with people in this role. You have the ability to be highly-attentive during every interaction, while managing multiple tasks at the same time.

Must have computer knowledge and working experience with various office programs, including Microsoft office and word processing. Our internal medical software program (Medisoft/CHARM) is used for scheduling and accounting.

Skills & Responsibilities

Office experience and proficiency with answering multiple phone lines, scheduling and filing is a plus.

Additional responsibilities include verifying insurance, communicating directly with laboratories, light cleaning of the office as needed, running weekly reports, ordering supplements, stocking inventory, collecting money from patients, preparing deposits, managing accounting transactions.
