Job Purpose:
The Site Supervisor at Valiant Roofing will play a crucial role in overseeing, coordinating, and
scheduling the daily operations of construction workers involved in roofing, shingling, and other
related construction tasks on both residential and commercial properties. This role demands a
keen focus on establishing efficient methods to adhere to work schedules while ensuring
seamless coordination with other contractors, managers, and staff. The supervisor will be
responsible for resolving workplace challenges, enhancing productivity, and elevating the quality
of outputs. An integral part of this role involves requisitioning necessary materials and supplies,
and potentially training workers in various job responsibilities, safety protocols, and adherence
to company policies. Additionally, the role extends to supervising and coordinating the activities
of apprentices, helpers, and laborers as needed. The supervisor will also be tasked with
preparing and submitting regular work progress reports.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and Coordinate: Lead and oversee the activities of workers engaged in roofing and
related construction tasks. Ensure effective allocation and utilization of resources.
2. Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring all activities are
executed on time. Facilitate coordination among various teams to meet project deadlines.
3. Quality Control: Implement and oversee procedures to enhance productivity and the quality of
work. Address any issues related to workmanship or materials.
4. Materials and Supplies: Manage the requisition of materials and supplies necessary for
construction projects. Ensure availability and timely delivery of required resources.
5. Training and Compliance: Train workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company
policies. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
6. Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on the progress of work, addressing any delays or
discrepancies. Provide regular updates to management.
7. Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve any work-related problems. Implement measures for
continuous improvement in workflow and project execution.
8. Team Supervision: Supervise apprentices, helpers, and laborers, providing guidance and
support as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in roofing or construction supervision.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with various teams.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in the construction industry.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle workplace challenges.
- Capacity to train and instruct workers in job duties and safety protocols.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Clean driving record preferred.
